Error description
The KPX_PUREEVT_ONE_ROW=Y parameter enables to send one pure event per one row. When a lot of events was sent to TEMS with the parameter, Sitmon busy occurred and TEMS hung. Environment: ITM 6.2.1 FP01 - AIX 6.1 Detailed Recreation Procedure: Send a lot of pure events to TEMS with KPX_PUREEVT_ONE_ROW=Y parameter. For example, 20 events per second. Local fix
Problem summary
Changes for a feature to emit one event per row for pure events with the variable KPX_PUREEVT_ONE_ROW=Y may trigger recursive lock handling problems. This is triggered if one thread attempts to unlock a recursive lock held by another thread.
Problem conclusion
This was fixed by ensuring that every sample in an event data flow now requires properly locking and unlocking sample data storage. This avoids a recursive lock thread affinity requirement, associates outstanding sample row data to corresponding SQL unit of work, and decouples sample processing from RPC updating sample data storage.
