Error description
A return data buffer from the agent is getting corrupted with the insertion of an extra null character. This fix will detect that and avoid the crash. This will be a defensive fix until the exact location of the real fault can be determined. RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS: Unknown at this time.

Problem summary
The management server crashes due to bad data returned from an agent. The message "KO46263 Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server (TEMS) data queue error was detected" is indicative of this problem.
Problem conclusion
The code was modified to prevent the abnormal termination when bad data is received. The fix for this APAR is included in the following maintenance vehicle: | fix pack | 6.2.1-TIV-ITM-FP0003
