Error description
You are using the CICS Explorer connected to a CICS TS v4.1 system. You are browsing the TS Queues active in a region and you delete one. After selecting and deleting it, the selected TS Queue disappears from view in the CICS Explorer. However if you refresh the view, all TS Queues will disappear because instead of deleting just the TS Queue selected, all TS Queues in that scope have been deleted. A check of that region via CEMT or CICSPlex SM's WUI interface will confirm this.
Local fix
Until this APAR has been applied, do not delete any TS Queues using the CICS Explorer.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS Explorer Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Deleting a CICS TS Queue in the CICS * * Explorer deletes all TS Queues * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** TS Queues were being browsed in the CICS Explorer by opening the "TS Queues" view (accessible from the menu: Operations > Queues > TS Queues). A single TS Queue was deleted by right-clicking on one of them and selecting "Delete" from the context menu. The TS Queue disappears from the the view as it has been deleted succesfully. However, refreshing the view shows that all other TS Queues in the current scope have also been deleted unexpectedly. To delete the TS Queue the delete TS Queue command constructed failed to include the filter attributes correctly. This meant when it was sent to CICS through the CICS Management Interface (CMCI) all TS Queues were deleted in the current scope (region or plex).
Problem conclusion
The filter attributes on the delete TS Queue command have been set to only delete the selected TS Queue and not all the other TS Queues in scope. This APAR has been released via version 1.0.0.3 of CICS Explorer, and is available via the update-site and Fix Central.
