Error description
Environment: ITM 6.2 - TEPS, any OS Problem Description: An edited product provide workspace causes that workspace to not be available to any other managed node of same type. So if you edit a Windows OS product provide workspace, the changed workspace is only available under that OS... and there is no entry under the other Windows OS nodes. 1) Go into Admin Mode 2) Edit the product provided Windows OS workspace (change the properties to allow modificcations) and save it (not a Save As, but a Save) 3) Get out of Admin Mode 4) The edited Windows OS workspace is listed in the workspace selection box for that Windows OS agent (the one that I made the change on), however it is not showing up in any of the other Window OS work space selections (so Windows OS is gone and I only have Windows OS Details) There is no way to get it back under those other Windows OS managed systems (there is no restore option available, etc)...
Local fix
Deleted the workspace and reinstall that agents TEPS application support.
Problem summary
Saving a workspace with only one view where the view's query definition affinity does not match the navigator's affinity results in the workspace not displaying when the user logs off and then logs back on to the Tivoli Enterprise Portal client. Before the fix, the query definition affinty was saved when the workspace was saved. This is incorrect as we should always be saving the current selected node affinity instead of the query's affinity.
Problem conclusion
The code was modiefied so that when a workspace is saved, the affinity of the current selected navigator is used instead of the query's affinity. The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance packages: | fix pack | 6.2.0-TIV-ITM-FP0003
