APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
A program loading the DB2 native libraries (e.g. a CLI program) may experience a SIGSEGV or SIGBUS crash if the application references a variable 'g_pTrace'. This is an internal global variable (i.e. reserved). It is not intended to be referenced by external applications.
Local fix
Do not define any application variables as 'g_ptrace'. To prevent further issues of this type, this variable will be renamed to decrease the potential for accidental reference.
Problem summary
USERS AFFECTED: Users of applications directly loading db2 native library.
