Error description
Declaring/creating a global temp table causes database crash at fixpak 7a or db2_v82. At this code level we inadvertently try to create DGTT in IBMDEFAULTGROUP tablespace if it exists. This tablespace was default tablespace for permanent tables in pre-v7 versions. Due to the fact that IBMDEFAULTGROUP is permanent tablespace, an attempt to create a temp table in it leads to database crash. It is not the default tablespce anymore, therefore problem only happens on databases that were migrated from previous versions.
Local fix
Drop or rename IBMDEFAULTGROUP tablespace.
Problem summary
