Error description

  • PROBLEM:
We built an automation script and wanted to associate the
    action as a
table column so it could be hit without having to expand into
    each row
and find the button. It runs on the first row, but does nothing
    on any
of the other rows. We can make it work by adding a pushbutton
    in the
table details, but it's a lot more cumbersome.

    ACTION TAKEN:
    replicated on http://mxapps6.canlab.ibm.com/maximo/ui

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
    Steps to recreate:
    1) Go to Automation Scripts application
    2) Create->Script with Action Launch Point
    3) Launch Point: EMXTEST
    Description: Test
    Action: EMXTEST
    Action Description: Test
    4) Click Next.
    5) Script: EMXTEST
    Description: Test
    6) Source Code:
    service.error("test","test")
    7) Go to Application Designer and open the WOTRACK app
    8) From Select Action, choose Add/Modify Signature Options.
    9) Click New Row.
    Option: EMXTEST
    Description: Test
Expand Advanced Signature Options and choose "This is an action
    that
must be invoked by the user in the UI".
    Click OK
    10) Switch to the Plans tab.
    11) Copy the delete row icon on the Planned Labor table and
    paste.
    12) Change the event from toggledeleterow to EMXTEST
    13) Save your changes.
    14) Go to the Security Groups application and open the MAXADMIN
    group
    15) Filter for the Work Order Tracking Application and grant
    access to
    the Test option.
    16) Save and log out of Maximo
    17) Go to the Work Order Tracking application. Open WO 1042
    18) Switch to the plans tab. There will be 3 planned labor
    entries.
    19) Click the trashcan that you modified to our event on the
    first
planned labor entry. Our automation script fires and the error
    is
    displayed.
    20) Click the trashcan that you modified to our event on the
    second or
third planned labor entries. Nothing happens.
