APAR status

• Closed as documentation error.

Error description

• Create a lease that has a start date of 4/23/15 and an end date
  of 4/30/2025.  It has 2 payment schedules with the payment type
  = Rent and Frequency = Monthly.  Payable on the 1st day of the
  month and set up as accounts Payable A/P/  And Include in
  Amortization is checked.
  Process Period = end of month
  From 4/23/15 - 4/30/2020 for month rent of $14,606.42
  From 5/1/2020 - 4/30/2025 for monthly rent of $15,301.04
  
  When you revise the lease as an admendment, add an incentive
  for Accounts Receivable (AR) with the amount on -5,500.
  After that is re-calculated, the accrual field is not
  recalculated.  It remains at 454.61 which is what the value was
  originally.  and if you scroll to the end of the incentive
  schedule, in the liability column, it says -5,500 when it
  should say 0.00 - that is where the problem is.
  
  If the incentive is positive it works correctly.  It is a
  problem if you have a negative incentive.

Problem summary

• IBM TRIRIGA currently recognizes only  when incentives amount
  and timing are certain.
  

Problem conclusion

• In this case, we suggest that you
  create a new lease with a correct incentive amount at the time
  it is received.  We will take this as our internal enhancement
  request and address it in the future release.
