This problem was introduced in AIX 7.1.4.0 and 6.1.9.100
.

Local fix

  • Avoid use of vlan adapters.

Problem conclusion

  • Code corrected to properly manage the mbuf by ensuring that
entire ethernet header is contained in single mbuf.
