Error description
Error Message: N/A . Stack Trace: N/A . The port is busy even after HttpServer.stop() and result in failure when trying to create new socket on the same port
Local fix
Problem summary
The port associated with HttpServer is not freed after calling HttpServer.stop() as its internal selector is not closed. Hence result in failure when trying to create a new socket on the same port as the port is still busy.
Problem conclusion
The changes for Oracle bug 7110484 addresses the issue reported here where we close the internal selector and this ensures the port is free after HttpServer.stop() . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 SR9 FP50 (7.0.9.50) 7 R1 SR3 FP50 (7.1.3.50) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs. For those running stand-alone, information about the available Service Refreshes and Fix Packs can be found at: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/
