• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Error Message: Crash in the GC, JIT compiled method or VM is
  possible as well as invalid values being passed around a JIT
  compiled method.

  Stack Trace: N/A
  .
  This issue only occurs on 64-bit Z series (zOS64 and zLinux64)
  platforms where the use of high word registers is enabled. All
  other platforms are unaffected by this issue.
  

Local fix

• This issue can be worked around using the
  -Xjit:disableHighWordRA option.
  

Problem summary

• The JIT compiler encounters an invalid register state during
  register allocation when an associated internal data structure
  becomes fully saturated. This could occur in a block of code
  where many values are live at the same time.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JIT has been updated to prevent the generation of invalid
  register state during register allocation in the scenarios where
  this problem can occur.
