Error description

• Error Message: A floating point error is raised by the JIT
  compiler with vmState=0x000502ff during compilation.

  Stack Trace: TR_MultipleCallTargetInliner::exceedsSizeThreshold
  TR_InlinerBase::applyPolicyToTargets
  TR_EstimateCodeSize::isInlineable
  .
  

Local fix

• This issue can be avoided by disabling inlining using the Java
  option -Xjit:disableInlining
  Warning: This will severely impact performance.
  

Problem summary

• A calculation performed during the inlining phase of method
  compilation has the possibility to propagate a zero value to the
  denominator thus creating the potential for a division by zero
  error.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JIT compiler has been modified to prevent division by zero.
