    ABSTRACT:             cleardeploystatus -i hangs after ten
    attempts
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When on is upgrading many 622 FP9 Windows endpoints on multiple
    Remote
    Monitoring Servers, and the cleardeploystatus command is used
    to remove
    deployment transactions that have a status of INPROGRESS, the
    user will
    not be able to cancel the transaction.
    RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:
    Install 630 FP4 TEMS
    Install 630 FP4 RTEMS
    Install several 630FP4 Windows OS 64-bit Agents distributed
    amongst the RTEMS
    Package 6.3.0-TIV-ITM-FP0004-IV68044prereqs 630 FP04
    Load the RTEMS Depot with the Provisional
    Package6.3.0-TIV-ITM-FP0004-IV68044
    Execute the command updateframework command to distribute the
    package to
    multiple endpoints.
    Execute ./tacmd getdeploystatus to acquire the transaction id
    of a
    deployment transaction that shows an INPROGRESS status
    Execute ./tacmd cleardeploystatus -i <transaction ID> eleven
    (11) times.
    Observe that the user can no longer enter commands

Problem summary

  • When on is upgrading many 622 FP9 Windows endpoints on multiple
    Remote Monitoring Servers, and the cleardeploystatus command is
    used to remove deployment transactions that have a status of
    INPROGRESS, the user will not be able to cancel the transaction
    

Problem conclusion

  • Excessive requests to remove INPROGRESS transactions are not
    queued beyond two (2) requests.
