Error description
Error Message: N/A . Stack Trace: N/A . Poor performance running applications employing JSR292 features (namely the invokedynamic bytecode) in computationally bound workloads that combine JSR292 with large numbers of calls or large methods.
Local fix
Problem summary
In scenarios where JSR292 bytecode features are used in combination with either large numbers of method calls or calls to large methods in compute heavy workloads, the JIT optimizer may fail to select the best inlining strategy leading to reduced performance.
Problem conclusion
The JIT inlining algorithms have been significantly enhanced to better handle JSR292 language features and to select an inlining scheme likely to generate much better performance. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR2 FP10 (8.0.2.10) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs. For those running stand-alone, information about the available Service Refreshes and Fix Packs can be found at: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/
