Error Message: Native memory leak is observed in the application when NetworkInterface.getHardwareAddress() is called many a times in AIX JDK. And when NetworkInterface.isUp() and NetworkInterface.isLoopback() is called many a times in other Unix based platforms. . Stack Trace: N/A .

Problem summary
The problem is caused due to some malloc chunks that are not freed.
Problem conclusion
The code is updated to free up the unused memory appropriately. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 6 SR16 FP3 (6.0.16.3) 6 R1 SR8 FP3 (6.1.8.3) 7 SR8 FP10 (7.0.8.10) 7 R1 SR2 FP10 (7.1.2.10) .
