Error description
The Network Manager installer installs a DB2 client by default (called db2inst9). This might cause problems if you are using an existing DB2 database.
Local fix
Network Manager installs a DB2 client called db2inst9 in NCHOME/platform/linux2x86/db2client. If you have an existing DB2 client on your machine, you need to either remove it, or you can use your existing DB2 client, but to do that, you have to ensure that you point it to your client using the correct name and path.

Problem conclusion
The following topics will be updated to reflect that: - Network Manager installs a DB2 client called db2inst9 into NCHOME/platform/linux2x86/db2client by default during a root Network Manager installation. For non-root installations, the post-instllation tasks install the DB2 client. - If you have an existing DB2 client on your machine, you need to either remove it, or you can use your existing DB2 client, but to do that, you have to ensure that you point it to your client name and path.
