Error description
Error Message: When a customer is using jdmpview or DTFJ to analyse a Linux core dump they may see only the top stack frame for each native thread. . Stack Trace: N/A .
Local fix
Native tools such as gdb may be able to provide full stack frames for native threads if they are run against the core file on the original machine.
Problem summary
The problem was caused by limitations in the stack walking code used with Linux core dumps.
Problem conclusion
The native stack walking code has been updated and is now able to walk the native stacks. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 R1 SR2 (7.1.2.0) 7 SR8 (7.0.8.0) 6 R1 SR8 FP2 (6.1.8.2) . Contact your IBM Product's Service Team for these Service Refreshes and Fix Packs.
