Error Message: A large increase in the java process native memory footprint. The Java process may eventually throw OutOfMemoryError with the detailed message "native memory exhausted" . Local fix
Problem summary
The problem is caused by a memory leak in the jvm code that deals with classloading when shared classes is enabled.The memory leak occurs only during an error condition in the code that creates class path entries in the shared classes cache. The Snap trace records that indicate that such an error condition is occuring, are listed in the 'Error description' section.
Problem conclusion
This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 6 SR16 (6.0.16.0) 6 R1 SR8 (6.1.8.0) 7 SR7 (7.0.7.0) 7 R1 SR1 (7.1.1.0) . The memory leak has been fixed.
