Error description

  • shutdown -F command fails to complete a shutdown of the
system when this command is issued from a SSH session.

APAR IZ54286 re-occurrence on AIX7.1

'nohup shutdown -F' can be a workaround.

Local fix

  • nohup shutdown -F/Fr
