Error description

  • AD path exceeded 255 for user (error: String Data right
truncation).  Error found in the console and in the BESRelay.log
on the server.

USERINFO.LdapDN is of type nvarchar(255), while distinguished
names are allowed to be any length; the problem seems to be that
the components of the distinguished name can't be greater than
255 characters.

Local fix

  • Do not have AD components of the distinguished name longer than
255 characters.

Problem summary

  • This issue will be addressed in the next release of IBM Endpoint
Manager.
