Error description

• IBM Storage Protect Plus backup jobs using a SMB share as vSnap
  target location like Microsoft Exchange log backups, can fail
  with the following example message :
  
  ERROR,.., CTGGA2165,Enable log backup failed for databases on
                     db group xxxx:
       message: "Failed to create share: Command timed out:
                 chown -R vsnap:vsnap '/vsnap/vpool<x>/fs<yy>'"

  IBM Storage Protect Plus Versions Affected:
  IBM Storage Protect Plus 10.1.13 and later
  

Local fix

• On the target vSnap host, set the value false for the
  smbResetShareOwnership vSnap preference using the command :
  vsnap system pref set --name smbResetShareOwnership --value
  false
  The backup jobs started after that change will use the new
  value.

Problem conclusion

• The problem is corrected in version 10.1.16.3. The preference
  smbResetShareOwnership will be set by default to 'false'.
  

Temporary fix

• On the target vSnap host, set the value ?false? for the
  ?smbResetShareOwnership? vSnap preference using the command :
  vsnap system pref set --name smbResetShareOwnership --value
  false
