Error description

• When using the ChangeDataCapture Node (CDC Node) with a
  non-container database (non-CDB) the following error may be
  observed:
  
  2024-05-17 20:33:29.680512: BIP10204E: The Debezium engine has
  thrown an exception
  'org.apache.kafka.connect.errors.ConnectException: An exception
  occurred in the change event producer. This connector will be
  stopped.
  Caused by java.lang.RuntimeException:
  java.lang.RuntimeException: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-65090:
  operation only allowed in a container database

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of App Connect Enterprise V12 using the Change Data
  Capture node with an Oracle database using a non-CDB (an Oracle
  Partitioned Database) database.
  
  
  Platforms affected:
  AIX, Linux on x86-64 platform, Linux on zSeries platform, Linux
  on Power platform, Windows on x86-64 platform

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When using the ChangeDataCapture Node (CDC Node) with a
  non-container database (non-CDB) the following error may be
  observed:
  ORA-65090:  Operation only allowed in a container database
  

Problem conclusion

• App Connect Enterprise has been changed to correctly initialise
  its connection to Oracle to handle non-CDB connections when the
  policy setting for the PDB name is blank.
