Error description

  • The Q4 2022 release of Storage Insights introduces support for
monitoring up to 48 CPU cores on FlashSystem 9500 devices,
as indicated in the release notes. However, when accessing the
Storage Insights Web UI, users notice that 9500 devices are
    only displaying 32 cores.

This only applies to FlashSystem 9500 devices added to
Storage Insights via Call Home with cloud services.

If a FlashSystem 9500 device is added and monitored via a
Data Collector, then all available cores is shown.

    To reproduce the issue:
    1) Add a FlashSystem 9500 with more than 32 cores to
Storage Insights via Call Home with cloud services.
    2) Once the new FlashSystem 9500 has been probed:
    3) Access the Storage Insights Web UI and navigate to the
    'Resource' tab.
    4) Select the FlashSystem 9500 device and right-click on it.
    5) Choose 'View Performance' to open a new window.
    6) Click on 'Edit Table Metric' and select 'CPU Core
    Utilization' from the dropdown menu.

You will observe that the total available cores shown is only
    32.
