Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users starting or deleting distributed MQ channels after migrating to MQ 9.3. Platforms affected: MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Channel failed to start post migration from MQ 9.2 or lower MQ version. This happens when multiple scratchpads holding the same syncdata for a channel. During the migration, MQ 9.3 code detected the inconsistency and caused failure in channel operations.
Problem conclusion
MQ code has been modified to retain last used scratchpad and delete the unused scratchpad to resolve the problem. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v9.3 LTS 9.3.0.20 v9.4 LTS 9.4.0.5 v9.x CD 9.4.1 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'IBM MQ Recommended Fixes' https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/recommended-fixes-ibm-mq If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'IBM MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' https://ibm.biz/mqplannedmaintenance ---------------------------------------------------------------
