Error description

  • The customer is using Storage Insights to monitor a SVC device
    within a Stretched Cluster configuration. Unfortunately, there
    is no performance data for one storage pool of SVC device, even
    when reviewing data over the past year. However, other storage
    pools present complete performance data for that SVC device.
    Notably, Capacity monitoring functions correctly for the
    affected storage pool. This issue pertains specifically to the
    device that has been added through the data collector.
    
    There are two identical pools with the same volumes. One pool
    contains "copy0" volumes due to volume mirroring in the
    Stretched Cluster configuration, while the other pool consists
    of "copy1" volumes, representing mirrors of the "copy0" volumes
    in Storage Pool1. However, the storage pool with copy1 is
    having no performance monitoring data.
    
    To reproduce the issue:
     Navigate to the 'Block Storage Systems' tab.
     Drill down into the storage for the affected SVC device and
    double-click.
     Proceed to the Pools tab.
     For the affected Pool, click on the link to the volumes
    belonging to that pool; you will notice that the Copy ID value
    for all volumes is 1.
     Select one of the volumes, right-click, choose 'View
    Performance,' and observe NO Performance Monitoring data for
    that "copy1" volume.
