Error description

  • Some password related properties in IBM Integration Bus v10 can
either be specified directly or via an mqsisetdbparms alias,
such as the keystorePass and truststorePass. If such values are
specified directly and then migrated using
    mqsiextractcomponents, the resulting
node.conf.yaml/server.conf.yaml file will show these properties
in plaintext. This is expected behaviour, but no warning message
is issued when this occurs to prompt users that they may need to
make changes to secure the migrated configuration.

Problem conclusion

  • The mqsiextractcomponents command now issues a BIP8664 warning
message highlighting that a potentially plaintext credential has
    been extracted.
