APAR status

Error description

  • After having created an Operational Overview report in the IBM
    Storage Protect Operations Center (OC) sending the report fails
    with the misleading messages:
    
    Completed with errors
    
    
    Failed to send report My_Report_Name. Ensure that the email
    server (mail_server_ip_address) is running, and that there are
    no network issues.

    Diagnostic steps:
    
    No issues are found concerning the mail server or the network.
    
    Sending a customized SQL Builder report works.
    
    Sending an Operational Overview report works if the
    
    Client Summary section was not selected and included.

Problem conclusion

  • This problem was fixed.Affected platforms: AIX, Linux, and
    Windows.Recommendation:
    Apply fixing level when available. This problem is currently
    projected to be fixed in level 8.1.23. Note that this is subject
    to change at the discretion of IBM
