APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When using Storage Insights to open a support ticket for a
    storage device, there are two options to select for the type of
    problem: "Software/I don't know" or "Hardware".  When selecting
    "Software/I don't know", the ticket creation can fail with an
    error indicating that there might not be an active license.
    That refers to no active software maintenance agreement (SWMA).
     An internal error indicating "No productCode could be found"
    stops the creation.  Some forms of active SWMA are not
    recognized.
    

Local fix

  • None.  Select hardware rather than software and retry ticket
    creation.
