IT45399: UTILIZATION REPORT ON EXCEL OUTPUT FILE TRUNCATES ALL FIELDS TO 10-CHARACTERS

Error description

• When creating a custom report for backup utilization on IBM
  
  Storage Protect Plus, the EXCEL output file contains a line
  
  break if the length of the virtual machine (VM) name contains
  
  more than 10 characters. This can cause issues when using this
  
  EXCEL file on visualization software to create e.g. business
  
  analytics. If the EXCEL file will be opened as *txt file, any
  
  VM name of more than 10 characters will contain the following
  
  additional characters:

Problem conclusion

• In IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.10.2 and later, when an Excel
  VM Backup Utilization report is generated, the fields in the
  report are truncated to 10 characters. This truncation can cause
  issues particularly in external tools, which expect the fields
  of the report to contain full-length data. In IBM Spectrum
  Protect Plus 10.1.16.1 and 10.1.17, an option has been added to
  the report to wrap lines longer than 10 characters (rather than
  truncating them), thus allowing external tools to properly
  consume the report.
