IT45117: RESTORE SHOULD CHECK IF ORACLE PLUGGABLE DATABASES ARE RUNNING

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If Oracle pluggable databases are set in Open Failure mode
  during the restore of an Oracle Pluggable Database (PDB), IBM
  Spectrum Protect Plus does not check if the Oracle pluggable
  databases are running and finally fails to recover this
  Pluggable Database.
  
  
  This behavior can be seen in the cmd.log of the Oracle agent:

Local fix

• - Edit /etc/guestapps.conf on the oracle host where the database
  
   is being restored and add:
     [oracle]
     ignorePdbOpenFailure=true
  - Ensure permissions for guestapps.conf are set to 644 after
   creating the file.
  - Restart the restore after changing the file.

Problem conclusion

• The restore process for container Oracle databases did not
  confirm whether the Pluggable databases were opened after the
  restore process completed. This issue is now fixed.
