IT44949: MQ .Net core application with security exit reports error 2273 (connection broken) if exit buffer size not divisible by 4

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When security exit returns a non-4-byte aligned data to the MQ.
  MQ throws error 2273(MQRC_CONNECTION_ERROR) to the application.
  

Local fix

• As a workaround, the security exit can return a 4-byte aligned
  data to MQ.

  Users who are using the MQ .Net application with the security
  exit and returning non-4-byte aligned data to the MQ.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When non-4-byte aligned data is returned to the MQ by security
  exit, a coding error causes the application to receive a 2273
  error code.
  

Problem conclusion

• The coding error has been corrected to allow non-4-byte data to
  be returned from an exit, allowing MQ to continue without
  throwing any error to the application.
