APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • IBM Spectrum Protect Plus VADP proxy log files, vadp.log and
    access.log, are not being generated on the proxy server.
    
    Below are the directory paths where each file gets generated on
    the VADP proxy server.
    These paths are empty as the proxy log files are not being
    generated.
    
    vadp.log:
    /opt/IBM/SPP/logs/vadp/
    
    acess.log:
    /opt/IBM/SPP/logs/tomcat/logs/

Problem conclusion

  • In IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.15.1 and 10.1.15.2, the VADP
    dependencies were upgraded, which deprecrated the existing log
    configuration for the VADP. This resulted in the VADP not
    properly generating logs (since the existing configuration was
    deprecated). This bug was resolved in IBM Spectrum Protect Plus
    10.1.15.3, which updated and corrected the VADP log
    configuration.
