  All users of IBM App Connect Enterprise V12.0 using the  Kafka
  Consumer Node.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When using Kafka Consumer node(s), if the provided Input Record
  value is empty then a NullPointerException is thrown from the
  message flow. The generated exception stack shows
  'java.lang.NullPointerException at
  com.ibm.broker.connector.kafka.KafkaPollingResult.buildInputReco
  rd(KafkaPollingResult.java:58)' as the cause of the failure.
  

Problem conclusion

• The Product has been modified such that the Kafka Consumer node
  no longer throws NPE if the Input Record is empty
