APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If the MCAUSER attribute value of requester channel is defined
and non-blank, starting the requester channel should cause the
specified MCAUSER attribute value to be used. Instead, running
DISPLAY CHSTATUS in runmqsc shows a MCAUSER of the OS user that
started the channel.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic error meant the the incorrect user ID was recorded in
the channel status record displayed by the DISPLAY CHSTATUS
command.

The correct MCA user value was used for any authority checks on
the channel, despite the incorrect displayed status.

Problem conclusion

  • The code change associated with this APAR updates the channel
status' MCA user to the user that it is adopted when the channel
is started.
