APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If a gateway-peering-group has setting 'mode cluster' and one
cluster-node uses a host alias that is the same IP as another
node then the group will be 'Up' even though this configuration
is incorrect. With the fix the status will properly be down and
a log message will explain the misconfiguration.

Local fix

  • Correct the IP addresses to be unique.

  • A gateway peering or peer group duplicately assigned to a
cluster node is not valid.
