IT43895: MISSING ROOT CAUSE IN MESSAGE "CTGGA2364 ... UNABLE TO FIND AN ONLINE VSNAP SERVER FOR THE BACKUP OPERATIONS ..."

Error description

• In the following IBM Spectrum Protect Plus job log messages :
  
  DETAIL,..,CTGGA0063,Finding storage for virtual machines that
                      need to be protected
  ...
   ERROR,..,CTGGA2364,An exception occurred during target volume
                      mapping. Unable to find an online vSnap
                      server for the backup operations in the
                      selected site <SiteID>.
   ERROR,..,CTGGA2649,Backup of virtual machine (VM) <VMName> has
                      failed.
                      Error: Unable to find an online vSnap server
                      for the backup operations in the selected
                      site <VMName>.
  
  The message CTGGA2364 does not indicate the root cause of not
  finding a suitable vSnap.
  In the above case, it was because the available free space on
  the vSnap pool fell below the free space threshold defined with
  the Global Preference : ?Target free space error percentage?.
  
  This is seen in the virgo log but not indicated in the job log :
  
   INFO .. Skipping Vm <VMName> Unable to find storage for by load
           balancing com.syncsort.dp.xsb.commons.XSBException:
           Cannot find a suitable vSnap with enough space for the
           VM (<VMName>)
   INFO .. Balance resource with grouping insert value into group

Problem conclusion

• Prior to IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.15.2 and 10.1.16, a
  misleading message was displayed in the job log when a vSnap
  supporting encryption could not be found when running a job for
  an SLA that required encryption for the target storage disk.
  Since IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.15.2 and 10.1.16, this job
  log message has been updated to more accurately reflect the root
  cause of the issue (a vSnap with encyption cannot be found for
  an SLA requiring it).
