Error description

  • The TimeoutNotification Node is currently creating an
ImbMessageContext with the "Transactional" property set to true,
which can cause problems for the Publication node as it relies
on the Message Context in some cases in the absence of a
    "Transaction" attribute on the node.

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The TimeoutNotification Node currently creates Message Context
with the "Transactional" property set to true. However, this can
cause problems for the Publication Node as it relies on the
Message Context in the absence of a "Transaction" attribute on
the Node. For example, in most cases, the Transaction setting is
picked up from MQMD. However, when the Transactional field on
the MQMD header is NULL, the Publication node defaults to using
whatever is in the Message Context.

Problem conclusion

  • The Product has been modified and a New Environment Variable
    "MQSI_TIMERNODE_HONOR_TRANSACTIONAL_PROPERTY" has been
introduced which if set to true makes the TimeoutNotification
Node to create Message Context based on the Transaction Mode
property specified on the Node. This enables the PublicationNode
to take the appropriate value from the Message Context instead
    of defaulting to always true.
