APAR status

Error description

  • The 'alert' menu at the top right corner of the IBM Spectrum
Protect Plus GUI - is showing alerts like:
>> System CPU usage (99,xxx%) higher than threshold 95%. <<

Additionally, when running the command 'top' from the IBM
Spectrum Protect Plus
command line interface, the following for user 'mongod' may be
seen:
PID   USER      .. %CPU  TIME+    COMMAND


123  mongod .. 684,1   3:42.55  /usr/bin/mongod --quiet -f
/etc/mongod2.conf run

Problem conclusion


    

  • This problem has been fixed so that when multiple VMware backups
run in parallel, IBM Spectrum Protect Plus server does not
consume high CPU resource due to mongo database queries.
