Error description

  • The IBM Spectrum Protect Plus On-Demand restore wizard for a VM
    fails with the message
    "Failed to access job executor.The policy type is not supported"
    This happens when the following selections are made :
    - ?Alternate Host or Cluster
    - In the ?Set network? step select "Add mappings for subnets
      and IP addresses for VM guest OS on destination"
    - Click ?Add mappings
    - Select ?Static
    - In the presented form, the field ?DNS? is left blank

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM Spectrum Protect Plus VMware On-Demand restore wizard
    "Set network" step has been fixed to properly save IP address
    and subnet information for a successful restore.
