APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After enabling JAVA2 security it was observed that HATS 9.7.3
    fails. This is apparent even with a basic application that just
    transforms using the defaults.
    It seems server environment affected is z/OS Traditional WAS
    8.5.5.21.
    JAVA2 Security diagnostics shows below messages:
     SourceId: com.ibm.ws.security.core.SecurityManager
    
    
    
     ExtendedMessage: BBOO0221W: SECJ6205W: The current Java 2
    Security policy reported a potential violation of a Java 2
    Security Permission. Refer to the InfoCenter for further
    information.
    
    
     Permission: getenv.HATS_CONFIG_ENV : Access denied
    ("java.lang.RuntimePermission" "getenv.HATS_CONFIG_ENV")

Problem conclusion

  • Code changes have been made to address this issue in HATS.
