IT42701: DB2 BACKUP ON CLUSTER MIGHT FAIL WITH ENABLED TRANSPORT ENCRYPTION

Error description

• IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Db2 Database backup might fail in a
  clustered environment, if transport encryption is enabled in the
  vSnap server.
  
  The operation reports errors as follows:
  
  Error   CTGGH0117    [example.server.com] Error encountered in
  the Db2 ACS interface An error occured while interacting with
  the Db2 ACS interface.
  Error   CTGGH0180    [example.server.com] Timeout on sending ACS
  completion message for partition 2
  
  Affected versions: IBM Spectrum Protect Plus 10.1.13
  

Local fix

• Increase the timeout by adding "Db2ACSReadyTimeout=240" to the
  /etc/guestapps.conf file. As sample file looks like this:
    more /etc/guestapps.conf
    [db2]
    Db2ACSReadyTimeout=240

Problem conclusion

• The default Db2 ACS read timeout has been increased to 240 sec
