Local fix

  • Enable command events for the queue manager to help audit any
    unexpected
    administration commands:

    ALTER QMGR CMDEV(NODISPLAY)

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
An administrator who has sufficient authority to clear the
SYSTEM.DURABLE.SUBSCRIBER.QUEUE can cause this issue to occur.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    Investigation showed that the SYSTEM.DURABLE.SUBSCRIBER.QUEUE
had been unexpectedly purged. This queue stores the
subscription definitions and so purging the messages caused
    these definitions to be deleted.

Problem conclusion

  • A new environment variable has been added. If the
"AMQ_INHIBIT_PURGE_SDSQ" variable is set before starting a queue
manager, then a lrcE_NOT_AUTHORIZED FDC with probe identifier
KN021012 will be written if a user attempts to clear the
    SYSTEM.DURABLE.SUBSCRIBER.QUEUE.

This change provides a way to avoid accidental removal of the
state stored on the SYSTEM.DURABLE.SUBSCRIBER.QUEUE and also may
help identify the circumstances under which the attempt to clear
    the queue was made.
