APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The Spectrum Protect Backup-Archive client GUI restore panel
    may not display specific directories from an NDMP (NAS) backup.
    
    The missing directory is listed in the QUERY TOC server
    administrative command but the client GUI does not show the
    same directory.
    
    The client dsmerror.log file shows the following error :
    
    ANS5250E An unexpected error was encountered.

Local fix

  • Use the RESTORE NODE server administrative command to restore
    the needed objects.

Problem conclusion

  • After the fixing level is installed, all available directories
    should be displayed in the RESTORE NAS file restore GUI tree,
    with correct attributes.
