APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • For an existing SAP Adapter application, if the IDOC definition
    changes, rebuilding the flow and redeploying to pick up the new
    definition doesn't work. The Adapter continues to use the old
    definition. Restarting the Integration Server makes the changed
    definition to take effect. This is because of caching of IDOC
    XSDs by the SAP Adapter.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    For an existing SAP Adapter application, if the IDOC definition
    changes, rebuilding the flow and re-deploying to pick up the new
    definition doesn't work. The Adapter continues to use the old
    definition. Restarting the Integration Server makes the changed
    definition to take effect. This is because of caching of IDOC
    XSDs by the SAP Adapter.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Product is now modified and should now accept changed Definition
    even after re-deployments without needing restart
