IT42210: HTTP REQUEST WITH A BLANK HOST HAVE A MALFORMED X-ORIGINAL-HTTP-COMMAND HEADER

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If a HTTP Input Node receives a request with a blank Host header
  then the X-Original-HTTP-Command header will be malformed, for
  example:
  
  X-Original-HTTP-Command = 'POST http:// /TestPath/Test HTTP/1.1'
  (Note the space between the slashes.
  
  Previous versions of IBM Integration Bus produced the following
  header in these conditions:
  
  X-Original-HTTP-Command = 'POST http://:7800/TestPath/Test
  HTTP/1.1'
  
  Where 7800 is the HTTP listener port.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Problem conclusion

• The HTTP listener has been modified to no longer generate
  invalid URI's when there is a blank Host header in the incoming
  message.
