Error description

• When inserting a row of data that includes a timestamp column
  and at least one following column
  an "ORA-01830: date format picture ends before converting entire
  input string" error is reported.

  All users of App Connect Enterprise Version 11 or Version 12 who
  use an Oracle database with TIMESTAMP columns
  and use the TO_TIMESTAMP database function call.

  AIX, Linux on Power platform, Linux on x86-64 platform, Linux on
  zSeries platform, Windows on x86-64 platform

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  When inserting a row of data to an Oracle database that includes
  a TIMESTAMP column  and at least one other column
  following the TIMESTAMP column then an "ORA-01830: date format
  picture ends before converting entire input string"
  error is reported.
  
  For example when a statement like this is executed
  INSERT INTO MyTable (createTime, value ) VALUES
  (TO_TIMESTAMP(?,'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS.FF6'),?);
  the ODBC driver would report an error for the 'createTime'
  TIMESTAMP column.
  

Problem conclusion

• A new DataDirect Oracle ODBC driver that fixes the error is now
  supplied with App Connect Enterprise.
