Error description

  • IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Maintenance processing runs 10+ hours
    or longer to run since upgrading to 10.1.10.
    
    
    
    Prior to upgrading, maintenance ran in a few hours. Here is an
    example of the Maintenance job summary and time it took to run.

Problem conclusion

  • After the performance enhancement fix, the maintenance time has
    been reduced 13 hrs to less than 5 hr for 1600 retention's
    points data for default thread count 5.
