IBM Spectrum Protect Plus Maintenance processing runs 10+ hours or longer to run since upgrading to 10.1.10. Prior to upgrading, maintenance ran in a few hours. Here is an example of the Maintenance job summary and time it took to run. SUMMARY,1650309851447,Wed 02 Feb 2022 HH:MM:SS CTGGA2340,Job policy Maintenance completed in 6 hr(s) 45 min(s) 11 sec(s) and ended with status COMPLETED. After the upgrade, maintenance ran significantly longer. Here is an example of the Maintenance job summary and time it took to run. Problem conclusion
After the performance enhancement fix, the maintenance time has been reduced 13 hrs to less than 5 hr for 1600 retention's points data for default thread count 5.
