APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • For SAP BAPI Incoming request with retry mechanism as failure ,
if any of the node is throwing User Exception then next BAPI
request is propagated to failure terminal instead of expected
message flow behaviour.

Local fix

  • change retry mechanism to short and long retry and retry attempt
to 0.

USERS AFFECTED:
All Users of IBM Integration Bus v10.0 and App Connect
Enterprise V11/V12 using SAP Input Nodes communicating via the
BAPI interface.


Platforms affected:
MultiPlatform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
SAP inbound BAPI Adapters fail to process an incoming request
and propagate it to failure terminal if retry mechanism is set
to failure and previous message failed because of an User
Exception.

Problem conclusion

  • The SAP Input Node has been modified such that SAP inbound BAPI
Adapters process next incoming request as expected even if
previous one has failed with User Exception.
