IT41203: STORAGE DEVICES ARE UNEXPECTEDLY SHOWN WITH A RED ERROR CONDITION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• NOC and Operations dashboard views show error condition for
  some storage devices without any indication of an error in the
  component health section.  Users with Storage Insights Pro for
  Storage Insights for Spectrum Control can also see the
  unexpected error condition for storage devices from Resources >
  Block Storage Systems and drill into the device for additional
  detail.
  
  In one scenario, the host port status is erroneously propagated
  to storage condition for FlashSystem storage.  Host port status
  should not be considered when determining the condition for the
  storage device.
  
  In a different scenario, the host connection status is not
  visible from the dashboard, but any errors with host connections
  will cause an error condition for the storage device.
