Error description

  • By default portions of App Connect Enterprise which make TCP
connections via Java will cache DNS entries indefinitely. It is
possible to override this behaviour by setting the
network.cache.ttl java system property however it would be
convenient to have a product setting to control this in the
server.conf.yaml document so that it is encapsulated in the
Integration Server definition. Additionally, with the prevalence
of elastically scaled environments the default behaviour to
cache results indefinitely is no longer desirable.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

convenient to have a product setting to control this in the

Problem conclusion

  • The following property has been added to the JVM Resource
manager and can be set via the server.conf.yaml file:

    #networkaddressCacheTtl: 60 # Default DNS cache timeout,
    applied to both networkaddress.cache.ttl and
                                                          #
sun.net.inetaddr.ttl unless either are already set.
